Senior appointments at Gemvision Europe

Gary Baines will join the North-America based business in a move which management hopes will strengthen activities between the two companies. Gemvision formed a strategic partnership with global jewellery connoisseur Stuller in 2009 which produced CounterSketch Studio, a 3D jewellery design platform that allows retailers to work together with customers to design their own uniquely personalised jewellery. Baines said: “Gemvision and Stuller has set a benchmark for jewellery design software by evolving the art of jewellery design in a way that’s never been seen before. “I’m looking forward to developing our design libraries within CounterSketch, ensuring that our UK customers have access to the very best in cutting edge and relevant styling.” The new structure within Gemvision Europe’s UK operation sees Graham Dicks (pictured) move up to sales manager at its Leeds base. He takes charge of its 8-strong team, having joined the company three years ago after 10 years in jewellery retailing and 20 years in sales and marketing for major UK manufacturers. Meanwhile Norman Matthews take greater responsibility under his role as Gemvision Europe manager of finance and administration. Other senior level moves also see Jeff High, founder of Gemvision 20 years ago, joining Stuller as executive vice president, Gemvision and innovation solutions. He continues his responsibilities with Gemvision, and will co-ordinate activities between it and Stuller. President and CEO of Stuller, Jay Jackson said: “Gary’s exceptional experience in jewellery design aligns perfectly with our goal of bringing the latest in virtual solutions to independent retailers. “We’re excited that he’s accepted our invitation to relocate to Lafayette, Louisiana and look forward to the valuable insight he’ll bring to our operation.”
