Gold Tipu Sultan pendant leads Bonhams Glenconner sale

The gold pendant, estimated at between £80,000 and £120,000, is set with a 38-carat emerald, surrounded by nine precious stones that include topaz, blue sapphire, ruby, diamond and pearl. The pendant is one of only a select few pieces of jewellery from the Mysorean rajah’s treasury to have survived in its original setting.
